Union Industries is pleased to announce a significant evolution in its leadership team, as Andrew Lane has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors following a highly successful 12-year tenure as Managing Director. He replaces the long-standing Mrs. S who founded the company back in 1972.
During his time as Managing Director, he played a pivotal role in transitioning Union Industries to an Employee-Owned company. This transition is often held as a shining example of how EO transitions should be done.
The transition has not only strengthened the company’s long-term stability but has also enhanced employee engagement and performance. Andrew now regularly shares his experience and insights in talks up and down the UK on the benefits and best practices of employee ownership.
Despite moving into the Chairman role, Andrew will continue to play an active part in the business, maintaining his hands-on approach and providing expert guidance to support the company’s ongoing growth.
Further to that, taking over as Managing Director is Neil Edmonds. Since joining in 2014, Neil quickly progressed through the organisation, most recently holding the position of Engineering Director.
During his time with the company, Neil has overseen a number of successful projects and driven key innovations across the business. His appointment marks the start of a new chapter for Union Industries, as he brings fresh leadership and a continued focus on delivering excellence for Union’s customers.
With Andrew Lane continuing to support the business as Chairman and Neil Edmonds stepping into the Managing Director position, Union Industries is well positioned to build on its success and continue delivering it’s high-quality, innovative doors to customers across the UK.
