This Christmas, instead of sending cards, Union Indsutries chose to give back by donating to Leeds Children’s Hospital through Leeds Hospitals Charity.
Leeds Children’s Hospital is one of the UK’s largest specialist children’s hospitals offering a wide range of treatments and care for children from birth to young adulthood and beyond. Children’s A&E is located at Leeds General Infirmary.
After reciveing the donation they provided the following message:
“Please accept my most sincere thanks for your incredibly kind donation
Your generous gift will help us fund the things that make a real difference to patients and their families and help to enhance the care the NHS already provides. This includes life-saving equipment, treatments and research into rare diseases, and helps to bring hope, happiness and home comforts to every bedside.
Together, we’re making sure that the Play Team are there for every poorly child, like Reggie.
Five-year-old Reggie has faced more than most children his age. Living with Down’s Syndrome and ongoing health challenges and being diagnosed leukaemia.
Weeks in isolation left him bed-bound and unable to walk. But thanks to the incredible Play Team at Leeds Children’s Hospital, Reggie found joy, connection and the strength to walk again.
Play became more than his escape of the ward but also acted as a real motivator for his physical rehabilitation.
Step by step, Reggie made his way to the playroom, getting a little further until one day, he walked there all by himself”
We’re proud to support such an important cause and grateful to play a small part in helping Leeds Children’s Hospital continue its incredible work.
